Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 October 2026. Version v2-2026-10.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to the Answrd service at answrd.co and app.answrd.co. The service is provided by Profitbl SARL-S, a société à responsabilité limitée simplifiée under Luxembourg law, registered office 6 Place des Villes Jumelées, L-5627 Mondorf-les-Bains, Luxembourg, R.C.S. Luxembourg B276593, VAT LU34835913 ("Profitbl", "we", "us").
The "Customer" is the company that opens an account. The person who accepts these terms confirms they have authority to bind the Customer.
Answrd is for businesses only. It is not offered to consumers. By using it, the Customer confirms it acts for its trade or business.
These terms, the Data Processing Agreement (DPA) at /dpa and any signed order or quote form one contract. If they conflict, the order or quote wins, then the DPA (for personal data), then these terms.
The Customer accepts these terms by ticking the box at sign-up. We store the version accepted, the date and time.
2. Words we use
- Service: checking business phone numbers and returning results through the portal.
- Portal: the online account at app.answrd.co where the Customer uploads lists and downloads results.
- List: a file the Customer uploads, with first name, last name, job title, company and phone number for each contact.
- Number in scope: a unique phone number on a line with a named business contact. We may skip a number we cannot check, for example a number in a country we do not call or a line with no name. Skipped numbers are not charged.
- Credit: a prepaid unit. 1 Credit covers 1 unique Number in scope that we dial or for which we reuse a Result.
- Result: the score we return for each number (see section 8).
- Business day: a working day in Luxembourg, excluding public holidays.
3. Account
- One account per company, based on the work email domain. Personal email domains (for example gmail.com or outlook.com) are not accepted.
- Colleagues with the same email domain can join the account. An admin of the account approves them, or invites them. All members share the account's Credits, Lists, Results and invoices.
- The Customer keeps sign-in details safe and is responsible for what happens in its account.
- The Customer gives true and current details, including its company name and VAT number.
4. Free trial and referral bonus
- A new Customer gets 100 free Credits, once. There is one trial per company.
- If a new Customer signs up through another company's referral link, it gets 100 more free Credits, once, within 7 days of opening its account.
- We may refuse or cancel free Credits if we think it is not the first trial for that company, or the details are false.
- Free Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred and do not earn partner commission.
- All other terms apply to free Credits, including the rules on lawful lists.
5. Credits and prices
- The price is €0.75 per number, excluding VAT.
- Credits are bought in advance, in packs from 100 to 5,000 Credits. Larger volumes are priced by quote.
- When a Credit is used. One Credit is used when we dial a number, or when we reuse a Result we already hold for the same person and number.
- When no Credit is used. No Credit is used for a number that our network check (HLR lookup) shows does not exist ("Invalid number"), for a number on our do-not-call list, or for a skipped number. We do not dial those numbers.
- The same number appearing more than once in a List is counted once. A number sent again in a later List is a new check.
- When a List is uploaded, we hold enough Credits to cover it. The Customer needs enough Credits before we start. When the List is done, we charge only the numbers we dialled or reused and give back the rest.
- Credits do not expire while the account is open.
- Credits are not refundable, except where (a) we cannot provide the Service, (b) section 7 or the DPA gives a refund, or (c) the law requires it.
- We may change prices for future purchases. Price changes do not affect Credits already bought.
6. Payment, invoices and VAT
- Payments are made online through Stripe, before Credits are added.
- We issue an invoice for every purchase. Invoices are available in the portal and sent by email.
- Customers in Luxembourg: Luxembourg VAT is added.
- Business Customers in another EU country with a valid VAT number: no Luxembourg VAT is charged. The reverse charge applies.
- Customers outside the EU: no VAT is charged, where the law allows.
- The Customer must give a correct VAT number. If an EU Customer gives no valid VAT number, we charge Luxembourg VAT.
7. Delivery
- We aim to return Results within 5 business days from the time we accept the List in the portal.
- Results are delivered as a file in the portal. Past Lists and Results stay available while the account is open, unless the Customer deletes them.
- If we have not delivered a List within 10 business days, the Customer may ask us to stop. We then give back the Credits for every number not yet checked.
8. What the Results mean and their limits
| Result | What it means |
|---|---|
| P1 | The named person picked up the phone. |
| P2 | The voicemail greeting names the person. |
| P3 | Not proved. We could not confirm the number belongs to the person after up to 5 attempts. It does not mean the number is wrong. |
| Bad | Wrong person, the person has left the company, the number is a switchboard, or it is a private line the person asked us not to use. |
| Invalid number | The number does not exist on the network, found by a network (HLR) lookup. Not charged. |
The Customer understands that:
- A Result shows what we found at the time of the check. People change jobs and numbers. We do not promise a Result stays true.
- We make up to 5 call attempts per number. We do not promise to reach anyone.
- A Result is not consent. It does not show that the person agrees to be called, or that the Customer may lawfully call or market to them.
- Results depend on the data the Customer gives us. We are not responsible for errors in the List.
- Where we reuse a prior Result for the same person and number, that Result is no more than 12 months old. On request, we tell the Customer the date of the original check.
9. Lawful lists and acceptable use
The Customer is responsible for its Lists. The Customer promises that:
- it collected the data in each List lawfully, from lawful sources;
- each List contains only business contacts, reached in their work role. No consumer lists;
- it has a valid legal basis under the GDPR to process the data and to have the numbers checked, and it has given people the information the GDPR requires (Articles 13 and 14);
- it will use Results only in a lawful way, including national rules on sales calls and opt-out registers (for example Bloctel in France, TPS and CTPS in the UK, and Robinson lists);
- the List contains no special category data, no data about children, and no data the Customer has no right to share.
The Customer must not:
- upload emergency numbers, premium-rate numbers, or numbers it knows belong to private individuals;
- use the Service to harass, track or locate any person, for debt collection, or for any illegal purpose;
- resell the Service or the Results as a data product to third parties;
- try to break, copy or overload the Service.
We may refuse a List, remove numbers from it, or suspend the account if we have good reason to think these rules are broken. We will tell the Customer why, unless the law forbids it.
10. Personal data
- For the data in Lists, the Customer is the controller and Profitbl is the processor. The DPA at /dpa applies and forms part of these terms.
- Profitbl is the controller for its own do-not-call list and its own phone validity data, as explained in the Privacy Policy. Profitbl may reuse a prior Result for the same person and number.
- Numbers on our do-not-call list will not be dialled.
11. Ownership
- The Customer keeps all rights in its Lists.
- We keep all rights in the Service, the portal, our methods and our own data.
- We give the Customer the right to use the Results for its own internal sales work.
- If the Customer sends us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely.
12. Customer name and logo
- The Customer allows Profitbl to show the Customer's name and logo to identify it as a user of Answrd, on answrd.co, in sales decks and in other marketing. This is a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide permission.
- We only do this once the Customer has bought at least one Credit pack.
- We will not suggest that the Customer endorses Answrd. We will not publish quotes, results or a case study about the Customer without separate written consent.
- We follow the Customer's brand guidelines when the Customer sends them to us.
- The Customer can withdraw this permission at any time, by switching off "Show our logo" in the portal or by email to hello@answrd.co. We then remove the logo from our website within 10 business days, and do not use it in new material.
13. Confidentiality
Each party keeps the other party's non-public information confidential and uses it only for this contract. This does not apply to information that is public, already known, or that the law requires to be shared.
14. Our commitment
We perform the Service with reasonable care and skill, using trained verifiers. Apart from this, and to the extent the law allows, the Service is provided as is.
15. Liability
- Our total liability under this contract is limited to the amounts the Customer paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, lost business, lost data or damage to reputation.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Luxembourg law, including for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
16. Customer responsibility for its Lists
The Customer will cover our reasonable costs, losses and fines that arise from a claim that a List was collected or used unlawfully, or that the Customer broke section 9.
17. Suspension and closing an account
- The Customer can close its account at any time by email to hello@answrd.co.
- We may suspend or close an account if the Customer breaks these terms, does not pay, or uses the Service unlawfully. Where we can, we will give notice first.
- On closing, unused paid Credits are lost, unless the account is closed because we broke these terms or under clause 6 of the DPA. Then we refund unused paid Credits. Free Credits are never refunded.
- On closing, we delete Lists and Results within 30 days, as set out in the DPA. The Customer should download its Results first.
18. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We will tell the Customer by email at least 30 days before an important change takes effect. If the Customer does not agree, it can close its account before the change and get unused paid Credits refunded. Using the Service after that date means the Customer accepts the change.
19. Law and courts
These terms are governed by Luxembourg law. The courts of Luxembourg City have exclusive jurisdiction.
20. Other terms
- Neither party is liable for delays caused by events outside its reasonable control.
- The Customer may not transfer this contract without our consent. We may transfer it to a company that takes over the Service.
- If one clause is invalid, the rest stay valid.
- Notices to us go to hello@answrd.co. Notices to the Customer go to the account email.
